Product Recall: Infa-Secure Skylar Booster Seat 8kg To 26kg
If you have recently purchased one of the Infa-Secure 'Skylar' harnessed booster seats, we would advise you to cease using it immediately and return it to the retailer.
On the 30th July 2010 the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued a product recall on the Infa-Secure 'Skylar' harnessed booster seats for children 8kg to 26 kg.
According to the official ACCC information, when this seat is used for children 8-18kg, there could be the risk of slippage of webbing through the adjuster of the body harness that could be in excess of that allowed in the respectful relevant safety standard. This seat fault may result in injury or even death of a child.
The Infa-Secure 'Skylar' child booster seats are on sale from July 2010 at all Australian BigW stores and may be identified by it’s product model number CS55SW.
The supplier of the seat is Infa-Secure Pty Ltd.
The ACCA strongly recommends that if you purchased this Infa-Secure booster seat, stop using it immediately and return it to BigW store for a full refund.
